How to configure the formula for room occupancy calculation in eZee Absolute?

Modified on Sat, 31 May at 10:51 AM

Formula: To calculate

The system allows you to manage formulas for calculations such as Occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), etc. You can define which fields should be counted or excluded in these calculations as per your hotel’s reporting requirements.

Steps to configure:

  1. Log in to eZee Absolute.

  2. Go to Configuration > Settings > Configure Formula.

  3. Enable or disable the fields as needed to include/exclude them in room calculation formulas.

  4. Click on Save.

This configuration directly impacts your reports and helps maintain accuracy in key metrics like Occupancy %, ADR, and RevPAR.

The calculation shown in the screenshot works as follows:

  • For each night, 1 room occupancy is counted as 1.

  • If it is a day-use booking, it counts as 0.5 occupancy.

  • Complimentary rooms are counted as 0 by default, meaning they are not included in the occupancy calculation.

  • If you want to include complimentary rooms in the occupancy, you can change their value from 0 to 1.

  • Paymaster rooms remain at 0 by default and are not included in the occupancy count.

  • However, you can override this for paymaster rooms by manually adding the number of rooms you want to consider for occupancy.

To access formula configuration, ensure the following user privilege is enabled:

eZee Absolute Configuration > User > Edit User > Privileges > Configuration > Access to General Setting
