Request to Implement Manual Night Audit in the Mobile Application
I would like to request the implementation of a Manual Night Audit option in the mobile application.
Currently, the Night Audit feature is available only in the web version. However, many day-to-day operational tasks can already be managed through the mobile app, making it the primary interface for many property owners and managers. The absence of the Night Audit feature forces users to switch to the web application solely for this critical operation.
This is not just about convenience—it is about operational flexibility.
There are thousands of small hotels, homestays, and independent properties where the owner manages the PMS remotely using only a mobile phone. In many cases, there is no dedicated front desk staff; on-site employees focus on serving guests while the owner manages operations remotely. For these users, requiring access to the web application just to perform the Night Audit creates unnecessary friction.
Both Adarsh (Community Member) and Julien (Community Member) requested that the Night Audit feature be made available in the mobile application.
In response, the product team asked why this feature is required and what additional value it would provide. They also mentioned that they are working on an Auto Night Audit workflow.
While Auto Night Audit is a welcome enhancement, it does not address the original request. The requirement from the community is to have the ability to perform a Manual Night Audit directly from the mobile application. Many properties prefer to review reservations, payments, room status, housekeeping, pending check-ins/check-outs, and other operational details before completing the Night Audit. This level of control is important for their daily operations.
Auto Night Audit and Manual Night Audit are complementary features, not alternatives. Properties that prefer automation should have that option, while those that require manual control should also be able to complete the Night Audit from the mobile app.
To better understand the demand, it would also be helpful to review product analytics. For example, checking how many users access the web application from mobile devices or switch to a desktop solely to complete the Night Audit would provide valuable insight into the real-world need for this feature.
Night Audit is one of the core functions of any PMS. Considering the subscription cost of the platform, users expect essential operational features to be available across both the web and mobile applications. This should be treated as a fundamental product capability rather than an optional enhancement.
I hope the product team considers implementing Manual Night Audit in the mobile application in a future release. I believe it would significantly improve the experience for many hotel owners and managers who rely on the mobile app to manage their daily operations.
