I would like the option to submit a work order without automatically marking the room out of order. Many of our maintenance requests are minor, and it would be more effective if we can raise a work order while the room remains in use.

Dear General Manager,
We are delighted to see your post in our community and appreciate you taking the time to share this suggestion. Feedback like yours helps us better understand operational challenges and identify opportunities to enhance our solution.
We would like to know more about the specific operational scenarios behind this request so that we can evaluate it effectively.
Currently, when a work order is created, the room is automatically marked as Out of Order. This is designed to help prevent rooms requiring maintenance from being inadvertently assigned to guests. However, we recognize that certain maintenance tasks may be minor in nature and may not warrant removing the room from available inventory.
Could you please share a few practical examples of maintenance requests where you would prefer the room to remain available? Additionally, it would be helpful to understand how this functionality would improve your day-to-day operations and what challenges you encounter with the current workflow.
The more context you can provide regarding your use cases and operational requirements, the better we can assess the feasibility, potential impact, and overall value of this enhancement.
Thank you once again for your valuable suggestion. We look forward to learning more about your requirements.
Regards,
Community Lead
