Feature Request: Tentative Open Reservation (No Fixed Dates) – eZee Unified
I would like to request the ability to create an open reservation with no fixed arrival or departure dates, which can be marked as Tentative within the system.
In many cases, guests leave a deposit or advance payment but are not yet able to confirm their travel dates. At present, there is no structured way to capture these reservations without assigning provisional dates that may not be accurate.
It would be beneficial to have a dedicated reservation status such as “Tentative – Open Date”, which would allow us to:
This functionality would improve reservation accuracy, financial tracking, and guest relationship management, particularly for advance deposit situations.
At present, workarounds using placeholder dates are not ideal and can distort reporting and occupancy forecasting.
A structured open or date-free reservation type would be a more accurate and professional solution.
In addition, we do not want to use the City Ledger for these types of individual guest reservations, as City Ledger should remain reserved for corporate or business accounts only. Using it for individual tentative bookings would create unnecessary clutter and reduce the clarity and usefulness of the ledger structure.
Keeping City Ledger strictly for corporate billing relationships will ensure cleaner accounting, better reporting, and more accurate financial control.
