How to Add and Configure a Rate Type in eZee Absolute

Hotels often offer different rate types to guests, such as Room Only, Bed & Breakfast, EP, CP, MAP, etc. These can be set up in eZee Absolute using the following steps.

User Privilege Required:

Ensure the user has access to the configuration panel.

• Path:
  Configuration > User > Edit User > Privileges > Configuration > Access to Configuration Panel

Steps to Add a Rate Type:

1. Log in to eZee Absolute Configuration.

2. Go to:
   Rates > Rate Type

3. Click on: Add Rate Type
   
    

4. Fill in the required details (see below).

5. Select the applicable room types and set the rates.

6. Click on Save to finish the setup.

Explanation of Rate Type Fields:

• Short Code
  A short identifier for the rate type.
  Example: EP for the European Plan, CP for the Continental Plan.

• Rate Type
  Full name of the rate type as shown to guests.
  Example: "Bed & Breakfast", "Room Only".

• Is Package

  • Enable this option if the rate type includes a package (e.g., meals or services).

  • The system will separately post inclusion charges on the folio.

  • Charges will be itemized and not merged with the room rate.
    
     

Room Type Mapping:

After entering the rate type details:

1. Select the Room Types where this rate type should be applicable.

2. Enter the corresponding rates for each room type.

3. Click Save to complete the mapping.
   
   

Important Note:
Bookings under a rate type can only be moved to room types mapped with that rate.
For example:
If the EP rate plan is linked with "Single Room" and "Deluxe Room", you cannot move that booking to "Super Deluxe Room" unless it is also mapped with the EP rate plan.

Summary:

• Define all your rate types (EP, CP, MAP, etc.)

• Map each rate type with the appropriate room types.

• Only mapped room types can be assigned or switched for guest bookings under that rate plan.
