How to add room type and map it with rate type in the eZee Absolute PMS system?

How to Add a New Room Type in eZee Absolute PMS

In eZee Absolute PMS, rooms are categorized based on Room Types such as Deluxe, Standard, Twin, etc. You can add and customize room types as per your hotel's requirements.


User Privilege Required:

To access this feature, make sure the user has the following privilege enabled:

  • Path:
    Configuration > User > Edit User > Privileges > Configuration > Access to Configuration Panel


Steps to Add a Room Type:

  1. Log in to eZee Absolute Configuration.

  2. Navigate to:
    Rooms > Room Type

  3. Click on Add Room Type.



  4. Fill in the required information as explained below.

    Explanation of Room Type Fields:

    • Shortcode
      A short name or code to identify the room type (e.g., DLX for Deluxe).

    • Room Type
      Full name of the room type (e.g., Deluxe Room, Standard Twin).

    • Base A (Adult) / C (Child)

      • Adult: Minimum number of adults allowed in this room.

      • Child: Minimum number of children allowed.

    • Max A (Adult) / C (Child)

      • Adult: Maximum number of adults allowed.

      • Child: Maximum number of children allowed.

    • Publish to the Website
      Always encheck this option to make your Room type visible to all the systems

    • Is Paymaster
      Check this if the room type should act as a dummy/virtual room (used for billing without physical inventory).

    • Color
      Choose a color to represent this room type in the Room View for easy identification.

    • Select Room Amenities
      Select applicable amenities from the list configured in the system.




  5. Save the details.


Important Notes:

  • Once saved, the room type will be listed and visible in the system.

  • To edit, click the pencil icon in the action column.

  • Added room types appear in the Stay View.


     


Mapping Room Type with Rate Type (Required Step)

To make the room type available for bookings, you must link it to an existing Rate Type:

  1. Go to the Rate>Rate Type.

  2. Edit the rate type you want to use.

  3. Checkmark the new room type.

  4. Add Rack Rates.

     

  5. Save the rate type.

Only after this mapping, the new room type will reflect in the booking interface and you can make bookings for that room type.
