Stop Room Move in eZee Absolute

There is an option called “Stop Room Move” in eZee Absolute.

Purpose:
This option is used to restrict a particular room from being moved under any circumstances. Once applied, the system will not allow that room to be shifted to another booking or changed in any scenario.

In short, if you want to ensure a room remains fixed and cannot be moved, you can enable the Stop Room Move setting for that room.

Room Move for group reservation :

We cannot move rooms for group reservations with one click; we need to perform room move one by one for all bookings. This room move operation we can perform only at reservation mode; once we perform guest check-in, the system does not allow us to move rooms.

But if there are future bookings or check-ins that have not happened yet, there is a short process that saves time.

How to Access: In order to perform a group room move in the eZee Absolute PMS system, please follow the below steps.

  1. Access Group Reservations:

    • Navigate to Reservations.
    • Switch to Group view.
  2. Edit the Group Reservation:

    • Select the desired group reservation.
    • Click on Edit Reservation.
  3. Unassign Rooms:

    • Go to Room Charges > Group Info.
    • Select the rooms to be moved.
    • Click on More > Unassign Rooms.
  4. Assign New Rooms:

    • Return to the group reservation.
    • Assign the desired room types to the unassigned rooms.

Important Note:

  • Room moves for group reservations must be performed individually for each booking.
  • This operation is only possible before guest check-in; once checked in, the system does not allow room moves.

Getting error while room move :

During room moving, no specific rooms are visible, or the type of room is not displayed.

✦Why does this happen?

Each booking is linked to a Rate Type (like EP, MAP, CP).
If you try to move that booking to a room that isn’t linked with the same rate type, you'll see this error.

Example:

✔ You have a booking with EP rate plan
✔ EP is linked to Deluxe Room and Standard Room
✘ You try to move it to Suite Room (but EP is not linked with it)

How to resolve the issue?

You need to map the destination room type under the same rate type assigned to the booking. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to Rate Type

Go to:

  • Log in to eZee Absolute Configuration Panel

  • Click on Rates >> Rate Type

Step 2: Edit the Applicable Rate Type

  • Click the Edit (pencil) icon beside the applicable rate type

  • This opens the Edit Rate Type pop-up window

Step 3: Link the Destination Room Type

  • Tick the checkbox for the desired Room Type (e.g., Suite, 4BHK, etc.)

  • Add appropriate rates

  • Click Save

 Important Notes

  • A room move is only allowed between room types that are linked to the same rate plan.

  • Without defined rates, the move will trigger the error.

  • You can pre-map frequently used room types under all active rate plans to avoid this in the future.
