1. Objective
To enhance the Night Audit Report by displaying reservation/booking details for operational charges such as Late Checkout, Day Use, Cancellation Revenue, and No Show Revenue, enabling clear transaction traceability and improving audit visibility for hotel users.
2. Functional Requirements
2.1 Night Audit Report Enhancement
The Night Audit Report should display booking/reservation details not only for Room Charges, but also for additional revenue components generated during hotel operations.
Currently, booking details are visible only for manually posted room charges.
2.2 Booking Detail Visibility
System should display brief reservation details for the following charge types:
Late Checkout Charges
Day Use Charges
Cancellation Revenue
No Show Revenue
Displayed booking information may include:
Reservation Number
Guest Name
Check-in / Check-out Date
Room Number (if applicable)
2.3 Charge-to-Reservation Mapping
All applicable charges included in the Night Audit Report must be mapped to their originating reservation.
The report should automatically fetch reservation details when:
Charges are system-generated, or
Charges are posted against an existing booking.
2.4 Report Consistency
Booking details should appear consistently across:
Room Charges
Auto-posted operational revenues
Adjustment-based postings linked to reservations
This ensures uniform visibility within the Night Audit Report.
3. Reporting Requirements
Enhanced Night Audit Report should:
Display booking reference against each applicable charge.
Allow users to identify reservation ownership directly from the report.
Reduce dependency on manual reservation lookup.
Export formats should continue to support:
PDF
Excel
