Can I perform a check-in for a past date after the night audit? Or how can I insert a transaction with a past date in eZee Absolute?

Yes, in eZee Absolute, you can perform a check-in for a past date even after the night audit has been completed. This is useful if a reservation was missed or voided and needs to be added retrospectively. To handle such situations, eZee Absolute offers an Insert Transaction feature that allows you to add bookings or transactions with past dates.

For a visual demonstration, you can refer to the following video:

Steps to Insert a Backdated Transaction:

  1. Access the Insert Transaction Feature:

    • Log in to eZee Absolute.
    • Click on the ≡ (three lines) menu icon on top left corner
    • Navigate to Front Office > Insert Transaction.

  2. Enter Booking Details:

    • In the Insert Transaction window, input the necessary details such as:
      • Arrival Date and Departure Date: Set the dates to reflect the actual stay period.
      • Guest Name: Enter the guest's full name.
      • Contact Information: Provide the guest's phone number and email address.
      • Identity Details: Record any identification information as required.

  3. Save the Transaction:

    • After entering all the necessary information, click Save to add the backdated booking to the system.

User Privileges Required:

Ensure that the user performing this action has the appropriate privileges:

  • Navigate to eZee Absolute Configuration.
  • Go to User > Edit User > Privileges > Front Office.
  • Enable the Access to Insert Transaction privilege.

Important Note: When adding backdated transactions, you cannot manually perform a check-in for past dates, as the system automatically marks the reservation as checked-in. If the check-out date has already passed, it will also be considered checked-out. If the check-out date is still in the future, the reservation will remain as a stayover and can be checked out later.
