How to handle default unmapped room/rate type bookings?

Modified on Sat, 26 Apr at 4:54 PM

You're dealing with Default Unmapped Reservations in the system. These are categorized into two types:

1️⃣ Default Unmapped Room Reservation

    Where to Find It:

  • Navigate to: Stay View > Default Unmapped Room

  • If any unmapped room reservations exist, a count will be shown in this section.

 How to Resolve:

  • Click on the reservation count

  • Choose Assign Room

  • Then, select and assign the correct Room Type

Once the room type is selected, you’ll also need to assign a Rate Type (see next section).

2️⃣ Default Unmapped Rate Type Reservation

    Where to Find It:

  • Click on any reservation from Stay View

  • Under Rate Plan details, you'll see the Default Unmapped Rate if this issue exists

Steps to Assign a Rate Type:

    A. Access the Reservation:

  • From Stay View, click the reservation. (Or navigate to: Front Office > Reservations, Or Front Office > Reservations > Arrivals)

    B. Edit the Reservation:

  • Click Edit Reservation

  • Go to the Room Charges tab

  • Click Update Details

  • Choose Update Rate Type and select the appropriate rate type

  • Decide whether to apply the change for specific dates or the entire stay

  • Click Save to confirm.

User Privileges Required:

To perform the above actions, ensure your user role has the necessary access:

  • Go to: Configuration > User.

  • Edit the specific user profile.

  • Under Privileges, expand Front Office.

  • Enable: Access to change the rate type option.

Also, once you have assigned the correct rooms and rate types to it, please visit live chat support as well, and let us know about it, so we can check the mapping as well. So we do not face the same default unmapped reservation in the future.
