Steps to Enable and Configure Non-Linear Rates

What Are Non-Linear Rates?

Non-linear rates, also known as adult-wise pricing, allow you to set different room rates based on the number of adults staying in the room.
This means your rate changes dynamically depending on how many adults are included in the booking.

Example:

  • ₹3000 for 1 adult

  • ₹4500 for 2 adults

  • ₹6000 for 3 adults

This setup helps in offering more accurate and flexible pricing across OTA channels such as Booking.com, Agoda, and others.

Why Use Non-Linear Rates?

Using Non-Linear Rates ensures:

  • Fair and transparent pricing based on adult occupancy

  • Better revenue control by adjusting rates for additional guests

  • Consistency across OTAs that support adult-based pricing models

Apply Stop Sell Before Configuration

Before enabling Non-Linear Rates, it is mandatory to apply a temporary Stop Sell on your rate plans.

Why this is important:
During configuration, rate changes may temporarily fluctuate (either higher or lower than intended).
Applying Stop Sell prevents OTA sync issues and avoids unwanted low-rate bookings.

Once the configuration is complete and rates are verified, you can remove the Stop Sell.

  3. You’ll now see fields for each adult type (e.g., Adult1 Rate, Adult2 Rate, Adult3 Rate)

  4. Enter the desired rates and click Save

  5. Remove the Stop Sell to make your rates live across connected OTAs
