Q: What is a Hold (Unconfirmed) Booking in eZee Absolute?
A:
A Hold (Unconfirmed) Booking is a temporary reservation that blocks inventory without confirming the guest’s stay. It allows the property to manage tentative bookings until final confirmation.
Q: How do I create a Hold (Unconfirmed) Booking?
A:
Navigate to Add Reservation in the eZee Absolute dashboard.
Select the Check-in and Check-out dates.
Under Reservation Type, choose Hold Confirm Booking.
Select the number of rooms, room type, and rate plan as needed.
Set the Hold Release Date & Time (the date and time after which the hold will be automatically released if not confirmed).
Set the Release Term (optional, based on your cancellation policy).
Choose when to remind the guest — either before the Hold Release Date or Arrival Date.
Fill in the guest information (Name, Mobile, Email, etc.).
Click Save to create the Hold Booking.
Q: How is a Hold Booking Released?
A:
If the guest does not confirm by the Hold Release Date & Time, the system automatically releases the hold and frees up the inventory.
Alternatively, the hold can be manually released by canceling the reservation before the hold release deadline.
Q: How Do I Confirm a Hold Booking?
A:
Open the Hold Booking from the reservation list.
Review and update any guest or reservation details if necessary.
Change the Reservation Type from “Hold Confirm Booking” to a confirmed booking status.
Save the changes to convert the hold into a confirmed reservation.
