Sometimes it's required to change room type for several reasons like a guest requesting to upgrade his booking with a higher category room type, Due to maintenance work, it's required to allocate different room types instead of booked room type.

Option 1: Room Move
Access Stay View or Room View
- Navigate to Front Office > Stay View or Reservation Section.
Select the Reservation
- Click on the reservation that needs a room type change.
Initiate Room Move
- Click on More Options and select Room Move.
- Click on More Options and select Room Move.
Choose New Room Type and Number
- Select the desired Room Type and Room Number from the available options.
Save Changes
- Click Save to update the room assignment.
Option 2: Unassign and Reassign Room to change room Type
Unassign the Current Room
- From Stay View or Room View, select the reservation.
- Click on More Options and choose Unassign Room.
After unassigning a room to the reservation we need to Assign a new room type and a room number to the reservation.
And also If the room was not assigned to the reservation from the beginning In that case too we can do an Assign room operation directly and Assign a new room type and a room number to the reservation. Please refer to the below screenshots step by step for it.
Assign a New Room
We can find Unassigned room bookings from below mentioned Image options
either on the unassigned bookings option on top right corner or on the iventory header in blue color Click on anyone option from it- After unassigning, click on the reservation again.
- Select Assign Room and choose the new Room Type and Room Number.
- Click Assign Room to finalize the change.
