Functions of eZee Absolute Post-Integration with Door Lock

After integrating eZee Absolute with the door lock system, various functionalities are streamlined to enhance operational efficiency and security. Here’s a detailed overview of the functions available once the integration is completed:

On Confirmed Reservations

• Generate Key Card: This is the sole option available for confirmed reservations. It allows the staff to generate a key card after placing it in the encoder. This option can also be disabled to prevent staff from generating cards for confirmed reservations.

Post Check-In Options

Once a guest checks in, additional options become available to manage key cards effectively:

1. Generate Key Card: Generate a new key card by placing it in the encoder. This is useful for initial key card creation.
   
   

2. Extend Key Card: Extend the validity of a key card if a guest decides to amend their stay. Place the card in the encoder to update it with the new stay duration.
   
   

3. Room Move Key Card: If a guest moves to a different room, place the old card in the encoder to erase it, then generate a new card for the new room.
   
   

4. Copy Key Card: This function works similarly to generating a new card. It’s useful for creating a duplicate key card, for example, for a room sharer.
   
   

5. Erase Key Card: Erase a key card by placing it in the encoder. Note that this function is not supported by Godrej Door Lock due to the lack of an erase function in their SDK.

Automated Prompts and Settings

• Check-In: During check-in, the system will automatically prompt hoteliers to generate key cards. Staff can place the cards on the encoder to generate them.
  
  
  
  

• Room Move: If the setting to erase key cards during room moves is enabled, the system will prompt the staff to place the card on the encoder to erase it before generating a new one for the new room.
  
  
  
  

• Check-Out: Upon guest check-out, the system will prompt the staff to place the card on the encoder to erase it.
  
  

Settings for Customization

• Room Move Erase Function: Hoteliers can choose to enable or disable the setting for erasing key cards during room moves through the available settings. This flexibility allows for customized operational procedures based on the hotel’s specific needs.
