How to unblock user before 30 minutes in eZee Optimus.

Overview:

When a user enters incorrect login credentials multiple times, the system automatically blocks them for 30 minutes as a security measure. However, Admin Users have the option to unblock users before the 30-minute duration from the user management section in eZee Optimus.


This article explains the steps to force unblock a user before the system’s automatic unblock period.

Login Attempt Rules:

  • PIN Login:

    • Maximum Attempts: 3

    • After 3 failed attempts, PIN login will be disabled.

    • The user must log in using their Username and Password.

  • Username and Password Login:

    • Maximum Attempts: 5

    • After 5 failed attempts, the user will be blocked for 30 minutes.

    • They can retry after 30 minutes or contact an Admin User for immediate unblocking.


Steps to Unblock User:

Step 1: Go to the Configuration (gear icon) section on the left panel.

Step 2: Click on User from the list.

Step 3: Identify the blocked user in the list.

Step 4: Click on the Unblock icon under the Action column.

Step 5: A confirmation popup will appear. Click on YES to confirm the unblock.

Result:

Once unblocked by the Admin User, the blocked user can immediately log in using their Username and Password without waiting for the 30-minute system block to expire.
