If your receipts are printing with unnecessary blank space, please check the following two main areas to resolve the issue:
✅ 1. Printer Side Checks (Hardware & Driver Settings)
Make sure the printer is set up correctly:
Printer Driver:
Ensure the official driver (e.g., Epson, TSP) is installed.
Avoid using a generic driver, as it will cause format issues.
Paper Size & Resolution:
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
Right-click your receipt printer → Printing Preferences
Confirm the paper size is set to
80mm x 297
or72mm x 297.
Auto-cut or Page End Settings:
Disable any setting like “Cut at end of page” which might add extra space.
✅ 2. Software Side Checks (Template Padding Settings)
Inside your POS system, follow these steps to check and fix the template layout:
If the template contains extra line breaks or padding, it may cause space issues
Navigate to Settings > Printing Template in your POS
Click the edit icon next to the active receipt template
Check the following:
Padding Settings:
Padding helps shift the receipt layout to the left or right
Example: If you enter values like
1
,2
, or3
on the Right, the receipt will shift towards the rightSimilarly, entering values on the Left shifts the receipt towards the left
To avoid misalignment, set both Left and Right padding to
0
Optionally, enable Condensed Printing to reduce line spacing and save paper.
