Yes, you can change the rate type for a guest who has already checked in using eZee Absolute. This feature is useful for adjusting rates during different seasons or for corporate clients. Here's how you can do it:
Steps to Change the Rate Type for an In-House Guest:
Access the Reservation:
- Navigate to Stay View and select the reservation you want to modify.
- Alternatively, go to Front Office > Reservations and choose the reservation.
- You can also find the reservation under Front Office > Reservations > Arrivals.
Edit the Reservation:
- Click on Edit Reservation.
- Go to the Room Charges tab.
- Click on the Update Details button.
- Select Update Rate Type and choose the desired rate type from the list.
- Also check if you want to appply the rate type changes for selected dates or whole stay
- Verify the changes and click on Save.
User Privileges Required:
Ensure that your user account has the necessary permissions to change the rate type:
- Go to Configuration > User.
- Edit the user profile.
- Under Privileges, navigate to Front Office.
- Enable the Access to change rate type option.
Pre-requisite:
Before making changes, ensure that the desired rate types are defined in the system:
- Navigate to Configuration > Rates > Rate Type.
Reporting Changes:
After updating the rate type, you can track this change in the Audit Trails Report:
- Look for operations labeled Room Rate Type Change to see the old and new rate types.
